Small towns in Georgia?

I am a junior, and fixin to be on my senior year! (: i have been trying to decide what college i want to attend. So far i decided i wanted to go to Charleston Southern University, then MUSC. but now i realized there are many other medical schools in the South. I would like to major in clincial psychiatry. and work in mental hospitals, etc. But some of my family live in Meter, GA. and i was wondering if yall knew of any small towns in GA that would be a nice place to live after i graduate. (by small i mean small (: i currently live in a town that has approximately 2000 people, but a little mroe than that would be okay) Oh and if there is any medical school near the town that would be benefical also.
