Is Dating a teen dad ok? If they take good care of the kid?

Ok, so I've been talking to this guy he's 19 and I'm 17. I really like him alot. He has a 1 year old daughter. But he takes very goood care of her. He has a job and goes to school. He has a great relationship with his babymoms. It doesnt really bother me that he has a child. But ever since I told my mom I was talking to this guy she doesnt wanna meet him nor does she want me talking to him anymore. We've been seeing eachother on the down low but my mom kinda knows something is up with us. Plus last night we hung out and I came in the house 10 mins after curfew and she took my phone away and said if I was with him she would pack my bags for me to live with him and she would tell my dad. Thing is, is that I really wanna ask my dad how he feels about me dating a guy with a kid. Since i dont live with my dad I would have to call him or meet up with him. I also just graduated from high school two days ago. Im turning 18 in december too. I kinda wanna get my own place after that so my mom won't be all up in my business. I love my mom dearly, but is that right how she's judging him because he has a kid? And i asked her to meet him but she didnt want to. I told her everything about him too. I dont know what to do. I really really like this guy. Please help me! Thanks
