Why does the lay public believe that abuse and neglect is not a major factor in Asperger's Syndrome pathology?

Autism and Asperger's are NOT the same thing. Furthermore my boyfriend has Asperger's and I can tell you it has NOTHING at all to do any type of abuse or neglect as he suffered none. Go back to school.
