Psychiatry question please help?

I am seriously considering psychiatry as a profession but I wonder what the future for it is,if for some reason in the years to come psychiatry is no longer a valid job, it is banned, not good pay, etc what other careers could one qualify for with their MD and a 4 year degree in psychology do that would be suitable? Just thinking ahead, thank you!
