Nurses or med students, I need your advice and opinions!?

Ok, so I graduated HS a year ago. I have been interested in psychiatry and psychology since 10th grade. First, I thought I wanted to be a psychiatrist, but I changed my mind about med school. I have my bio, college alg, chem and a few electives done so far. Now, I am interested in becoming a PA. I think this would be a perfect job for me. My family comes from a medical background and I want to be in the medical field, I know that for sure. In order to become a PA (physicians assistant), you have to have a bachlores and medical experience. What I was thinking about doing is getting my BSN and becoming a psych nurse possibly then going into the PA program. Is this a good route to take? Also, school get very overwhelming sometimes. I need some advice about the BSN program, what it's like, pros and cons, etc. Thank you!!!
