My iphone 3g is locked too telstra sim card help?!?

hi, i bought a new vodaphone sim card today and tried to activate and use it through my iphone. but my iphone is locked onto telstra! how can i lock it to another sim card. im on ios 4.1 and have recently jailbroken my phone please any help will be goood
