I got a speeding ticket last night, i was driving with 3 of my friends and one was drinkingg.... help me out?

okay so i was in my neighborhood having a goood time (completely sober) when my bestfriend calls me from seaside saying her abusive boyfriend just hit her and threw her phone and begged me to get her.. the good friend that i am i drove almost an hour to seaside heights to go get her.. i picked up 3 of my friends to come with me 2 of them had been drinking previously, but werent drunk. one bought a beer in my car and spilled it.. and i yelled at him cause i dont allow drinking in my car.. and he apologised and we continued on our way to seaside. we got there and picked up her up and were on our way back home, ive never driven in the area before, i was really upset my friend got hit, it was really late, and my mom was calling me continuously to get home, and i was INCREDIBLY tired..it was 3 am by this point and yes i was unknowingly speeding (72 in a 55).. a cop pulled me over, and he didnt say anything about that.. he just asked who had been drinking, my friend whose boyfriend hit her started crying and said she didnt do anything. and i said i didnt take a sip of anything, and the people in the back said they havent been drinking, and he said he smelled beer in the car ( i completely forgot it had spilled earlier) the first thing he did was give everyone a sobriety test.we all passed with flying colors except for one guy, not cause he was drunk but just because its hard to pass a sobriety test ( he was sober by this time anyway) and we were pulled over for at least 45 mins they were more concerned about my friend getting hit anyway than the speeding or drinking. so the cop came back to the car gave everyone a break with the drinking and said that hes giving me a speeding ticket and to drive safely the rest of the way home.. ive never gotten a speeding ticket so what are my odds of getting out of this one? am i not aloud to go to court since he gave us a break with the smell of beer? please helpp.. anyone..i just cant get 4 points on my license :/
