Do you have to give 30 day notice to move out if your lease is already expired?
When your lease expired you rolled into a month to month rental,,Just as your landlord is required to give 30 days notice to end that relationship you are required to do the same...I respect the fact you are living in poor conditions but be careful...This sounds like the type of guy that might try to sue you for a months rent on top of damages....Take many pictures of everything when you leave and make sure any agreements to leaving earlier or a 30 day notice are backed in writing...Check your lease as there may be a clause that explains this...Why would you want to let this guy grab your deposit after the nonsense he put you through ? Do things right and get your hard earned money back...
